The Kewpee is famous throughout the midwest as one of the oldest and best hamburger restaurants. Milwaukee Magazine restaurant critic Willard Romantini picked the Kewpee as one of the 20 best hamburgers in Wisconsin.
A local Journal Times readers poll picked the Kewpee as the best burger as well as the best diner several times. The only critics we listen to or care about are the 700-1000 customers that walk in the door each day.
Rose O'Neil was the creator of the original Kewpie Dolls back in 1909 who once said they came to her in a dream dancing around her head.
